I was SO DAMN CLOSE, too!

For the past couple weeks, I've been working on "ponifying" (god, i need to stop it with the ponies) the intro cutscene to MW2. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tn2zu…)
It was going to be that, but with ponies and dialogue-snippets from the actual show.  I even researched the series credits to put into it as well (On a side note, there are some pretty cool names out there).  Since I didn't want it to look entirely like crap, I started doing it from scratch.  Yeah, I rendered my own footage of the earth being viewed from space.  I did some fancy particle-flow for all the crazy networking-lines, set up the lighting perfectly, and so forth.
Well, everything's finally put into place.  All I need now is the footage of ponies to color-key into the vid.  A bit of editing here and there, some color-correction, and then I'm free to post it.  I'm so pleased with myself!  The hard part is over! All I need to do is import the episodes from my iTunes library into the After-Effects project, and then I'd be finished.  I shouldn't have a problem with that.  Let's get this done!

File -> Import new media
Select ALL the episodes :3
Importing...
"This application cannot be used to play this content. In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes."
*After Effects crashes.

You. Have. Got. To. Be. F*cking. Kidding. Me.

After all that hard work - all those painfully-long renders, those PFlow crashes, all that freezing, all of that blood, sweat, and tears I shed for this - and for what?  iTunes to give me a Nope.avi?
I understand the logic behind this copyright-protection stuff.  Somehow or another, making a file only able to be opened with one program prevents piracy...right? Well, no.  I can still copy-pasta the file onto a flash drive and play it on an other computer.  I don't support piracy or copyright-infringement, I hate bull-crap like this even more.  I bought and paid for both seasons, shouldn't I be able to open them in whatever program I want?  Hasbro even came out and said that they actually don't mind people posting edited fan-vids on the inernet, so i should be able to do this, right?

Alright, I'm done ranting.  I'll let you get back to whatever it is you were doing.
Does anyone know how to get around the "This application cannot be used to play this content. In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes" error message, by chance?  Help would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR:  iTunes screwed me over and the past two weeks of my life are for nothing.
